Summary of Responsibilities
The Procurement Coordinator position is involved in all aspects of U.S. Customs Border Protection (CBP) compliance with a focus on the C-TPAT Program. The Coordinator supports the Site and Group Procurement Organization in the execution of local and global transportation, customs compliance, and import/export regulatory adherence strategies. The Coordinator certifies accurate, effective execution of the procure to pay process initiation in line with contractual arrangements with suppliers ensuring compliance to Group Procurement Policies and enabling efficient transactional processing. This position requires willingness and ability to work as part of a team as well as independently, in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where accuracy, analytical, organizational, and strong communication skills are essential
Education and Experience
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ years of related work experience
- Use of SAP P2P modules and the ability to extract system data to support reporting.
- Associates in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related
- 3+ years' of experience in a global multi-tier company performing import/export, supply chain management processing, nuclear records keeping, or warehousing operations.
- Acquired or studying for the following certifications: Hazardous Material Classification Specialist, Hazardous Material Packaging and Shipping Specialist, Certified Customs Specialist, Harmonized Tariff Classification Specialist, Import/Export Specialist

- Monday through Friday; 8 am to 5pm. Some nights and weekend work may be required. Employees are also subject to call-outs as needed.
- 10% of total working hours may require travel

- Work Environment: General Office, some exposure to Plant/Production spaces with Low light, near moving parts, radiation, chemicals, vibration, outdoor with extreme cold, heat, wet or humid conditions
PROCUREMENT EXPEDITOR AND C-TPAT COORDINATOR
- Determine & declare to CBP the HTSUS classifications for merchandise imported and the applicable duty owed in accordance with the LES classification database
- Maintain control of import/export documentation
- Work with the Procurement Team to ensure regulatory requirements are met for all delivered goods and services
- Evaluate potential risks to ensure they are properly managed and actions taken to protect URENCO and its interests
- Visit, educate and evaluate existing suppliers to ensure compliance with International Customs requirements
- Resolve transportation/delivery issues/problems with suppliers
- Ensure supplier management programs are in place through coordination with freight forwarders, customs brokers and carriers
- Ensure UUSA is compliant with all regulations affecting import/export, interstate and international commerce regulations associated with all commodities, materials and equipment shipments being transported through Freight Forwarders, tariff and duties
- Maintain partnerships with customer groups and business leaders in order to ensure accurate, timely and appropriate information is shared
- Actively contribute to the Custom Executive Council based on C-TPAT and ISA regulatory commitments.
- Act as the Site C-TPAT Coordinator and Portal Administrator, assembling multiple department processes, records, and requirements, to ensure the site follows US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) best practices.
- Develop, maintain, and record applicable Procurement procedures and records. Ensure records are maintained in accordance with URENCO guidelines and other regulatory guidance
- Develop and maintain Procurement procedures as required to maintain compliance
- Maintain Procurement documents and records from initiation through closure in accordance with local and external guidelines and requirements
- Develop and Administer the P-Card Program, including roll-out of Card Payments and Automation Projects to reduce the number of P2P transactions required
- Process purchase orders in accordance with URENCO’s policies and procedures to drive value and compliance for the Company, requiring frequent communication with the Category Management Teams, business partners, and Requisitioners
- Continually seek ways to mitigate risk; accuracy and efficiency of process completion are key attributes of this role
- Work with suppliers to resolve problems effectively, to agree to appropriate contract changes, and apply proper performance metrics
- Ensure contract changes are captured within contracts in a timely manner
- Category spend coverage will require communication with all URENCO European sites as well as day to day operational support within the site.
- A detailed working knowledge of Procurement modules in SAP will be an essential skill, as will a working understanding of key supplier contracts within any given category of spend.
- Train, coach, and advise Requisitioners on the P2P process
- First line support to operations on supplier performance management, working in conjunction with Senior Buyers and Category Managers to drive improvements
- Develop excellent rapport with customers in accordance with Procurement's customer service mission
- Develop partnerships with customer groups and business leaders to elevate Procurement's reputation and support procurement professionals in category objective delivery
- Influence internal business partners to ensure contracted suppliers are used wherever possible
- Work with customers/stakeholders and the procurement team to generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports
- Provide administrative support for event planning, supply ordering, IT requests, P-card functions, and tactical purchasing including P2P initiation support for specific categories of spend.
- Prepare, issue, and maintain logs, tracking reports, notices, correspondence necessary for documenting schedules, progress, forecasts, actions to support audits, customer requirements, etc
- Prepare reports from SAP data and submit to customers as requested
- Develop Category Data and Reports to support Senior Buyers and Category Managers
- Support Procurement Management in the professional development of self and customers
- Establish Career Development Plans and exhibit personal growth through achieving short terms goals
- Provide evidence of Performance Improvement through Performance Management Plans
- Actively contribute to the ongoing development of functional capabilities to ensure value delivery is sustainable in the long term and functional effectiveness and efficiencies are improved on a continual basis
