Summary of Responsibilities
The Operations Projects Manager will lead and liaise with the Projects organizations and Operations in order to drive successful completion of company goals in accordance with the site priorities, schedules, and emergent response activities. The Operations Projects Manager is a process and technical expert in both abnormal and normal plant operations. This position requires an extensive knowledge of the work control process, configuration management, and the corrective actions program. |
Education and Experience
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Seven years of related work experience in a technical, chemical, or operations work environment. Initial Operator Training Program, Building Operator Certification, Control Room Operator certification, and Shift Technical Lead.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Nine plus years of related work experience in a technical, chemical, or operations work environment. Initial Operator Training Program, Building Operator Certification, Control Room Operator certification, and Shift Technical Lead.
- U.S. Nuclear Navy Qualified Operator or Non-Licensed Nuclear Power Plant Operator, U.S. Nuclear Navy Qualified Watch Supervisor, NRC Licensed Reactor Operator or Senior Reactor Operator may be substituted for the Bachelor’s Degree

The work location for this position is Urenco USA, Eunice, NM.
Work Schedule: Weekday Day Shift when required.
Travel Required: 150 of the time or less as required.
Security Clearance Requirement: Controlled Access Area (CAA) Access and an L or Q level security clearance is required.
Emergency Response Organization (ERO) qualification is required.
Work Environment: Radiological exposure expectations of < 100 mrem/yr. General Office, Plant Production Areas. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets etc.
Primary Functions
- Leads as the Operations Team as a single point of contact with the Projects Organization.
- Drive solutions when challenges to business continuity arise.
- Supervise and solve operative obstacles to project progression.
- Set expectations for acceptance and handover of the asset or facility
- Provide input into the delivery strategy.
- Ensure the project team is supported by providing adequate resources and competent and experience site personnel.
- Interface with Projects personnel to plan, schedule, and implement the work management system
- Review, Approve, and close out Project work packages.
- Manage provide accurate site data, specifications, pre-project as-built information, and operation records.
- Manage and provide site services and resources for the project.
- Ensure there is an adequate plan for the start-up and ramp up to full operations of the asset or facility.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders and the whole delivery team.
- Participates in operability and engineering reviews through the life cycle of the project.
- Ensure interactions with other site activities are effectively prioritized and managed.
- Coordinates urgent repairs on critical plan systems, and assists in addressing project plan challenges in a timely manner utilizing the FIM/Work Control process.
- Interface with Site and Group Projects to provide Operational Support and deconflict challenges that arise.
- Perform technical reviews on behalf of the Operations department such as OAR’s, T-MOD’s, MOD’s, IDR’s and 70.72 evaluations.
- Organize, lead and accomplish complex evolutions and assignments including IPTE Coordinator and Emergent Response Coordinator across multiple Departments as directed by Management.
- Maintain awareness of plant conditions by coordinating with the Duty Shift Manager.
- Review, write, approve, hang, and clear LOTO’s as needed in accordance with procedures.
- Have an understanding of Site process such as Change Management, Work Control Process, IPTE, and Emergent Issue Response.
- Create/review new procedures and revisions to already approved procedures.

- Achieve and maintain qualifications as a Shift Manager in accordance with the UUSA Operator Training Program.
- Assure the UUSA uranium enrichment facility is operated within established guidelines for company, state, and federal environmental regulatory compliance with the coordination of current projects on-site.
- Conducts performance reviews and provides coaching and mentoring in order to aid in the development of assigned personnel.

Compensation starting at: $145308 - $181635 / year and up dependent on candidate.
